The year has finally come to a close for my fantasy football aspirations. I was in four leagues, and I managed to make the playoffs in only two of the four. One of them, I was eliminated in the first round. The final one, I made it all the way to the championship, and I had a great team, including the likes of Tony Romo, Brian Westbrook, and LaDainian Tomlinson. I lost by a mere three points in that one this past weekend due to some late defensive touchdowns. Second place hardly seems an adequate consolation.
Our blogger league finally came to a close, and it was a fun year. Hopefully, we can keep this thing going, and here were the results from this year:
- MWC Football
- MyFantasyLineup
- NFLGuru
- FanProphet
- Curveballs for Jesus
- TINO Sports Page
- This Just In
- Signal to Noise
- The NFL Minute
- FF Librarian
- Fantasy Football Goat
- The Hazean (our gracious host!)
I have one other salary cap league that I am a part of, but I am ranked 14th out of the 50 people in our group in that one. It was a rough year, and it was aggravating because for the fourth consecutive year, I was unable to escape with a title. I am, however, in first place in my basketball league and in my hockey league thanks to Sidney Crosby. See you all next year!
Haha, thanks for the shoutout, though I am a little embarrassed by me performance in that league!
*my*
Thought maybe you were going back to your “MC”Neil roots with the “me” instead of “my”
It was fun. I hope we can do it again next year. BTW, if you’ll still have me can you change your blogroll from TINO Sports Page to http://footballjabber.com
I just started it yesterday (back at square one with a blog) and I’m going to be adding all you guys as soon as I get my son off my leg.
No prob, Lee. Added
I need to defend my championship so I would enjoy another go around.
Have you seen the ad on TV in which the background music is Daniel Powter’s “Bad Day” and a bunch of guys are writhing in pain… because of their fantasy football teams? Can’t find it online right now, but it’s on TV everywhere.
I have not seen that swedfish. Please share if you find it!
Thanks for changing the link Patrick!
HAHA, yeah, I am loving that commercial. I was over at my mom’s last night, and it came on and she laughed out loud, which is even funnier because she knows nothing about football, much less fantasy football.
Yes, I too know the commercial. My fiancee laughed when she saw it, which delighted me to no end.
And we definitely should and hopefully will do the league again next year. I need to redeem myself!
I’ve been trying to find the advertisement but can’t seem to find it anywhere. It was supposed to be on NFL.com, but couldn’t find it there, either.
