Lavar Arrington basically retired yesterday after throwing himself into a guard rail on his motorcycle. His attorney stated that Arrington had a ”a few broken bones,” as if this was just another day at the office. If by a few broken bones, you mean that one of his bones (the one he uses to propel him toward the land of quarterback destruction) was broken three times, then I’m with you.
I will give him props for one thing, though. He was wearing a helmet. You paying attention, Roethlisberger?
In my opinion, he is done with his football-playing career after this. He has had a ton of injuries recently, and even if he can get healthy, it will require a team to take a chance on a guy who has at least one, maybe two injured legs, a broken arm, and hasn’t played regularly in years. I do, however, wish him the best and hope to see him put on the shoulder pads again.
